ประมูลสุดยอดไวโอลินญี่ปุ่นอายุ 300 ปีเกือบ 500 ล้านบาทช่วยเหยื่อสึนามิ Tsunami violin sets records

สำนักข่าวต่างประเทศรายงานจากกรุงโตเกียว ประเทศญี่ปุ่น เมื่อวันที่ 21 มิ.ย. ว่า การประมูลไวโอลินชื่อดังยี่ห้อสตราดิวาริอุส อายุเกือบ 300 ปี ที่กรุงลอนดอน ประเทศอังกฤษเมื่อวันจันทร์ ซึ่งเจ้าของคือมูลนิธินิปปอน องค์กรส่งเสริมการดนตรีแห่งประเทศญี่ปุ่น นำออกประมูล เพื่อนำรายได้สมทบกองทุนบรรเทาทุกข์ ช่วยเหลือผู้ประสบภัยพิบัติจากแผ่นดินไหวและสึนามิ ทางภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือของญี่ปุ่นเมื่อวันที่ 11 มี.ค. ที่ผ่านมา ปรากฏว่า มีผู้คว้าไวโอลินเก่าแก่นามฉายา “เลดี้ บลันท์” ตัวนี้ไปได้ ด้วยนราคาสูงเป็นประวัติการณ์ถึง 15,894,000 ดอลลาร์สหรัฐ หรือประมาณ 490 ล้านบาท ทำลายสถิติราคาสูงกว่าไวโอลินยี่ห้อเดียวกัน ที่ประมูลขายไปก่อนนี้ถึง 4 เท่า

นายฮิเดโอะ ฟูคุดะ โฆษกมูลนิธินิปปอน เผยว่า ไวโอลินของมูลนิธิตัวนี้ผลิตในปี ค.ศ. 1721 เก็บรักษาไว้อย่างดี และแทบจะไม่ได้ใช้งาน ส่วนเจ้าของคนใหม่ที่ประมูลที่กรุงลอนดอน ไม่ยอมเปิดเผยตัวตน มูลนิธิมีเป้าหมายหลักนำเงินรายได้จากการประมูล เพื่อสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมวัฒนธรรมดั้งเดิม ในพื้นที่ประสบภัยพิบัติดังกล่าว

A Stradivarius violin has set a new auction record after selling for £9.8m.

The "Lady Blunt" – named after its 19th-century owner Lady Anne Blunt, an Arabian horse breeder who was Lord Byron's granddaughter – was sold by the Nippon music foundation to raise money for Japan's tsunami relief fund.

It was bought by an unnamed bidder for four times the previous Stradivarius violin record. There are about 600 Stradivarius violins in the world but the only other in such pristine condition is the "Messiah" in the Ashmolean collection in Oxford.

Tsunami violin sets records

A rare Stradivarius violin has smashed the world record after selling for more than £9 million at a London auction. Proceeds will go to help victims of Japan's earthquake and tsunami.

An anonymous bidder at the Tarisio auction house paid £9,808,000 ($A15.1 million) for the 1721 ''Lady Blunt'' Stradivarius, more than four times the previous auction record for a Stradivari violin.

The exquisite instrument was owned for 30 years by Lady Anne Blunt - granddaughter of the celebrated English poet Lord Byron - and is ''in much the same condition as when it left its maker's hands'', expert W. E. Hill said.

All of the money from the sale will be channelled to victims through the group's Northeastern Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief Fund.
