What are ya!" = "What’re you talking about."

There are many kinds of mhor in the Thai language; a mhor is a medical doctor but a mhor doo is a fortune teller, a mhor kwai is a veterinarian and a mhor nuad is a masseuse.

You come from Thailand. My daughter-in-law is a Thai. She’s a mhor in Bangkok. She told us that a mhor is a doctor. When you go back to Thailand you can visit her at Lolita. Tell her that you met her mother-in-law here in Australia."

"What are ya!" = "What’re you talking about."

"You‘ve got the wrong idea that she’s a medical doctor but actually she’s a mhor nuad or a masseuse. She can scratch the sole of your foot to make saliva dribble down your chin but not much more than that."
